Boat Engine Failure Prediction (In Progress)

Overview

A preventive maintenance system designed to detect potential engine failures before they occur at sea. Using accelerometer and thermal sensors on the engine and propeller shaft, we analyze vibration patterns and temperature data to predict maintenance needs. Developed in partnership with a mechanical engineer, with testing to be conducted in Subic and Batangas. Initial input obtained online from Greek boat owners operating 18 and 23-foot vessels. This project is currently in active development.
